What does buying bespoke mean?

Choice.

Bespoke means choosing exactly the fabric you would like and choosing something that is right for the space.  Every client is unique and I like to work with individuals to find the perfect fabric for their interiors.

Bespoke also means individuality and nothing says this more than adding borders and trimmings.  I can help to make your soft furnishings truly your own.

The practicality of commissioning bespoke window treatments is that you can tailor aspects such as length, how much window is covered, thickness, insulation, and how much light you would like to let through.

Quality.

To ensure you have great curtains and blinds, measurements are checked and doubled checked and I take a lot of time and care to make sure corners are square and patterns match when fabric is joined together.

All my blinds and curtains are hand sewn.

  • Hems are sewn together with a herringbone stitch which is very strong, ensuring your curtains will remain in good shape for years to come.

  • Only tiny threads are picked up at the back of the curtain so no stitching will be visible from the front.

  • If a blind is heavy or very large I will topstitch a roman blind at the top to make sure it doesn't sag over time.

  • Roman blinds are interlocked at every rod, ensuring the fabric, interlining and lining stay and fold together neatly when drawn up.

  • Only the most appropriate and best quality materials are used including threads, linings and roman blind header rails.

  • Child safety devices to comply with UK standards are fitted to all roman blinds.

Service.

From start to finish you can expect friendly expert advice and recommendations.  Finally, I am able to provide you with a range of options for curtain poles and tracks.  Delivery, dressing in curtains and installation can also be provided so that you don't have to lift a finger.
